Montgomery County has extended the Perkiomen Trail to Route 29 in Green Lane Borough. This addition now makes it possible to bicycle, walk, or ride horseback to the Green Lane Park from Green Lane Borough. In 2008, Montgomery County will be embarking on a major project to extend the trail up the Route 29 hill from Green Lane Borough to the Green Lane Nature Center. When that work is completed in late 2008, visitors will be able to walk, bike (mountain), or ride a horse all the way around the large Green Lane Reservoir.
