I travel frequently on the Schuylkill Expressway and notice there is a new bridge over the highway in King of Prussia. Is this the Chester Valley Trail?
Yes, it is. This Bridge was built by PennDOT as part of the 202 interchange project. It is just part of a one mile section of trail that our County Commissioners will be opening in July of 2004. Keep your eye on this web site for the opening date and details.
Will the Chester Valley Trail be part of the Montgomery County new 4 year development plan?
Yes, we are confident that the Montgomery County section of the Chester Valley Trail will be completed between King of Prussia and Norristown by the Fall of 2007.
If I want to use the new section in King of Prussia, can I park at the new Park N. Ride lot on Bill Smith Boulevard? I won’t be towed, will I?
Yes, you can park there. The lot was built for commuter parking AND for trail parking. In fact there are bike lanes on South Gulph Road and on Bill Smith Boulevard. We have planned this parking lot to be a major trail head facility.
