Cross County Trail
The 17.5-mile Cross County Trail will stretch from Conshohocken through Willow Grove and on into Bucks County, linking two densely populated areas of Montgomery County.  The trail will connect at Conshohocken to the Schuylkill River Trail and then, via the Schuylkill River Trail to the new Chester Valley Trail.  When the Cross County and Chester Valley Trails are completed, people will be able to travel from the Willow Grove all the way to Downingtown in Chester County or stay on the Schuylkill River Trail for a connection to the Perkiomen Trail to Green Lane.
 
The trail will utilize railroad and utility corridors, roadways, and county and state lands.  At some locations, the trail with merge with other county trails, such as the Wissahickon Trail.  The trail will pass through Plymouth Meeting (yes, it will pass Ikea and Home Depot and the shops at Metroplex) and will provide alternative transportation access to shopping and transit services at in Conshohocken, Plymouth Meeting, Fort Washington, and Willow Grove Malls.
